After so many hurdles, three months of long lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic, finally International cricket resume with a three-match Test series in between England and West-Indies starting from 8th July (Thursday).
The opening Test match of the three-match Wisden Trophy between West Indies and England will be held in a bio-secure environment at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
Earlier this week, both the teams warmed up through an inter-squad warm-up match. At the Ageas Bowl, the first Test match of the England team is not led by the regular captain, Joe Root. He is in paternity leave and already left the bio-bubble to be with his wife as her delivery date is very near.
The West-Indies team have already announced their 15-member squad including Shanon Gabriel, who was previously in the reserve list.
