The Pakistan cricket team has once again demonstrated why they are termed “unpredictable.” With the host team fielding a second-string lineup, the Men in Green stood a good opportunity of winning an ODI series in England. Whereas many predicted Pakistan would easily win the three-match series but were unable to win even one game. In reality, they were thrashed 3-0, and the cricket community is really not pleased with their effort. Shoaib Akhtar Criticize PAK Team.
Pakistan lost the very first 2 games because of poor batting performances, and they failed to defend a difficult target of 331 in the final match. Shoaib Akhtar, the former Pakistani bowler, was disappointed on the Babar Azam-led team, enraged by his countrymen’s dismal performance. Pakistan cricket, according to the senior, is in danger if the national team continues to play in the same way. He was also disrespectful of the team’s leadership.
It’s A Very Hopeless Situation In The PCB Management: Akhtar
Shoaib Akhtar Criticize PAK Team. “Your fan following will decrease (after such performances). If kids aren’t following you, you won’t get an inspiring start to play for you, you won’t get a new Shoaib Akhtar, Afridi, or Wasim Akram… if you keep thinking like the average person, it will only result in average decisions and average performances,” Akhtar said on his official YouTube channel.
“Pakistan cricket is in a very serious situation, in treacherous waters. It’s a very hopeless situation, in the PCB, the management, and the team. I am not saying this because I need a job. I am saying this because I am hurt, because I played this game for my country and I made sure that I run in and people get the value for their money but unfortunately that isn’t happening anymore,” he added.
ENG vs PAK: Pakistan a one dimensional team, criticises Shoaib Akhtar
Akhtar went on to criticize PCB officials, claiming that those in higher positions were not doing anything. “This needs to be looked into. And somehow people in high authorities are turning a blind eye because they themselves are average people,” he asserted.
However, ENG and PAK will battle in a 3-match T20I series, which will be interesting to watch. England must be feeling good about themselves and want to keep up their winning ways. On the other end, Pakistan has an opportunity to correct itself and must give its best for the next.
