Kasi Viswanathan Lauded Captain MS Dhoni
Dhoni captained CSK to their 4th IPL victory in October, defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in the decider at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. While Dhoni, 40, is not at his form with the bat during the competition, he guided the Yellow Army with composure.
Viswanathan stated that Dhoni’s abilities as a skipper are unquestionable. The senior expresses his experiences on the Jharkhand-born Dhoni in a video shared on social media by the CSK.
Nobody can doubt his skills as a captain: Viswanathan
“Thala has been the mainstay of CSK. He has been a captain who has delivered for us. He gets the best out of the team every time he plays. As far as we are concerned, Thala plays a major role because he controls the team, and the team is benefitted from his experience. Nobody can doubt his skills as a captain,” Viswanathan said.
Viswanathan also stated that returning to the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for the IPL 2022 will provide the Super Kings with a significant edge.
“Chennai has been a very lucky ground for us, we had a good home advantage. That is because of the support we get from the CSK fans who throng to the stadium. I hope that this year, we get the entire MA Chidambaram Stadium for our use,” he stated.
Furthermore, he mentioned reintroducing Faf du Plessis into the bidding process after releasing him before the retention policies. Du Plessis was the second-highest run-scorer in the IPL 2021.
“We look forward to getting them back. For example, Faf has been a team man who has taken us to the finals of two important seasons. It will be our endeavour to go and try for him. But it’s not in our hands,” Viswanathan added.
