CSK vs GT Key Player Battles: Two different teams with different motives will step out to play against each other. The much-heralded CSK side has flattered to deceive this season. They will be up against the underrated yet formidable Gujarat Titans unit. There isn’t much for CSK to gain apart from the pride factor. Gujarat has the objective of finishing in the top two if they win this one.

#1 Devon Conway vs Mohammad Shami
The comeback of Devon Conway revived CSK’s chances this season. In the last few games, Conway has shown what he brings to the table. He is the long-term investment for CSK which will yield great results. Conway has taken the attack to the opposition right from ball one. He is especially good against pace. Mohammad Shami will be looking to counter the Conway threat. There are very few new ball bowlers who are better than Shami at the moment. It will be a terrific contest!
#2 Moeen Ali vs Rashid Khan
The batting allrounder was CSK’s designated spin attacker last season. It was Moeen Ali who galvanized the CSK unit. His inhibition-free cricket helped others batters play their natural game. Ali was especially severe on the opponent’s spinners. He hit them cleanly against them. Ali though will have Rashid Khan to counter in the game against GT. The Afghan spinner is slowly coming into his own at the business end of the tournament. He will have a bag of tricks to test Moeen Ali.
#3 Shubman Gill vs Mukesh Choudhary
He has remained in news for all the reasons this season. Shubman Gill started the tournament on a fantastic note. He smashed two consecutive scores of 80+ in the first three games. But post that euphoric start, he failed to make telling contributions until the last game.
In the game against LSG, Gill played a decisive knock. His 63 not out was the ultimate difference between the two sides. He will be facing Mukesh Choudhary early in the powerplay. The CSK seamer has made a solid impact with the new ball. He will fancy this matchup against Gill.
#4 Hardik Pandya vs Dwayne Bravo
The Gujarat Titans skipper has been a force to reckon with this season. He has led the team from the front. Hardik Pandya will look to come in early to take charge of the proceedings. He has been among the runs right throughout the season.
In the last few games though, Pandya has struggled to score. He will be keen to get back amongst the runs. In the game against CSK, Pandya will face veteran, Dwayne Bravo. Bravo is one of the top wicket-takers this season. Their matchup will be interesting.
