Munro And Thakur Collide
During the second match of the ongoing T20I series of India vs New Zealand in Auckland, New Zealand opener Colin Munro and India bowler Shardul Thakur collided with each other midway on the pitch.
The incident happened during the 6th over of New Zealand’s innings. In the second delivery, after hitting the ball, Munro attempted to run for a leg bye and that is when Thakur came in the batman’s path in his attempt to stop the ball, leading both of them to collide with each other. While Munro managed to complete the run, Thakur fell on the ground as a result of the collision.
The video of their collision has gone viral on the internet, and fans are airing their views on the incident. Thakur was not happy at all as he says he got pushed and fell on the ground.
New Zealand’s Performance
Earlier in the match, captain Kane Williamson of New Zealand team won the toss and decided to bat first.
The team could manage only 132 runs in the first innings with the loss of 5 wickets at the end of the 20th over. The credit for this goes to India’s tight bowling spells.
Only Martin Guptill from the host team looked comfortable against Indian bowlers. He played extremely well by scoring 33 runs off 20 balls with 4-fours and two runs before losing his wicket to Shradul Thakur.
Munro scored 26 runs in 25 balls with the help of two fours and a six.

Team India comfortably chased down the score within 18 overs and won the match by 7 wickets. KL Rahul topped the list of scorers with his 57 off 50 balls during the run chase. After winning the match, Team India leads the series 2-0 with 3 matches remaining.
