Ben Stokes, a seamen all-rounder from England, has become a big match-winner for his national team in the last two years. Moreover, he received much praise from the cricket fraternity. The England international is also very active on social media, where it comes out very often with his opinion on a particular topic. But recently, he had to deal with the heat of an anonymous man who has abused him to an unacceptable extent.
The 28-year-old made his debut for England back in 2011 and has been a crucial part of his national team in all formats ever since. He has taken 7043 international runs so far and taken 231 wickets. In 2019, he was very much crucial in helping England to win their first World Cup. Also, he excelled in the ashes. Later, the ICC awarded him as the ICC Player of the Year award.
Ben Stokes faces abuse on social media
Ben Stokes currently has enormous fans around the world. But some people don’t like him as a cricketer. And, it has reported that famous players have fans as well as critics. But recently, an anonymous person has gone beyond all limits and abused Stokes on social media platforms.
First, the social media user abused BenStokes on Instagram. He told the England international that his first child had cancer before he said to kill him. Stokes shared a screenshot of it on its Instagram story. “Let us disclose such things,” he wrote.
Subsequently, the follower did not stop on Instagram. He again abused Stokes on Twitter. Soon after, the all-rounder took to his Twitter handle and shared a post that read, “Oh piping from Instagram pipes on Twitter.” But the man soon deleted his abusive post.
Stokes is currently living at home with his two children and his wife after the UK government announced a lockdown in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.
