Team India’s preparation is on track, with the ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand just around the corner. Over the last few days, Virat Kohli’s men have been sweating it out in an India’s intra-squad practice match to get a hold of the conditions. With the Indian team’s management having a difficult time deciding on a playing XI, the practice games may possibly influence the final lineup.

Furthermore, the BCCI has been providing clips from the practice match on a regular basis. Ravindra Jadeja and Shubman Gill both scored half-centuries on the opening two days, while Rishabh Pant smashed a century. Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj, both pace bowlers, were among the wickets, establishing a claim to a spot in the final XI.

Shardul Thakur determined to contribute to India’s success

In the end part of the clip, players were seen wrapping up after the conclusion of the session. However, pacer Shardul Thakur went straight to the nets after the practice match. It’s evident that the pacer wants to contribute to India’s win, but only time would tell if he gets a chance in the summit clash.

On June 18, the WTC final will take place in Southampton’s Ageas Bowl. India has been on a roll in red-ball cricket recently, and they will be determined to win. They can’t just put a foot wrong when it comes to New Zealand. The Kiwis will enter the final having defeated hosts England 1-0 in the Test series. They’ve also gone to the top of the Test rankings. As a result, Virat Kohli’s team must put their best for the ahead encounter.
