Ashton Turner, who is set to play his first ODI in ten months, is coming to India for the ODI series which will bring back some happy memories for him. Unfortunately, he had to miss out on the World Cup with Steve Smith and David Warner coming back to the team after their period of suspension. But this time, Turner might be seen in the playing eleven along with the batsman.

Though he has played only three ODIs in his career so far, Turner’s experience in Indian conditions might prove helpful for Australians in the three-match ODI series. His unbeaten 84 off 43 deliveries in Mohali helped Australia chase down 359 and leveled the series. Turner believes that his experience will help them.
Turner’s experience in India
Turner shared his experiences in India by saying that he loves touring India and had enjoyable trips with some team success and self success. And that is his only ODI experience so far, he added. “I have really fond memories of playing one-day cricket so far in my career,” said Turner.

To be able to come to India and get success is really tough for the touring teams. For Turner to be able to play a role in getting that one-day series back on track by contributing to a victory in Mohali is fond memories. The player says it has given him confidence that his ability is good enough against the best in the world. The way the Australian team manages spin will be one of the ways for them in the series insists Turner, who was one among the Australians players who played the Indian spinners well the last time they came to India.

Turner also praised Finch’s leadership skills, saying that the confidence and the freehand Finch has given to players has helped the team grow. Being a brilliant leader, Finch has taken over the full-time captaincy of the Australian ODI team.
