The IPL 2022 huge auction is just a few days to go. The Indian Premier League (IPL) will be a 10-team competition this year, with the inclusion of 2-additional teams, Lucknow & Ahmedabad. Whereas Lucknow has already named their new team as the ‘Lucknow Super Giants’, featuring Indian limited-overs vice-captain KL Rahul as the team’s captain, Ahmedabad has also introduced a new team name well before the auction in Bengaluru. The Ahmedabad IPL Team named as Ahmedabad Titans.
After naming ace India and Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya as the team captain, the Ahmedabad franchise has come up with a particular title for the 15th season of the showpiece competition. They have opted to make the new team the Ahmedabad Titans. However no formal statement has been made, this development is widely circulated on the internet.

However, the IPL 2022 is shaping up to be a spectacular event, with ten teams competing for the 1st time since 2011. The Ahmedabad Titans will be led by Hardik Pandya, whereas Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill have been chosen by the franchise before the auction process.
A total of INR 90 crore was granted to each team. With 3 capped players remaining, Ahmedabad is left with INR 52 cr. As a result, they’ll be under pressure to put together a powerful team at the auction. Moreover, the auction event will be held on 12 and 13 February in Bengaluru.
Out of 590 cricketers, 370 Indians and 220 from other countries, are expected to be auctioned, and all ten teams will be busy shortlisting the talents. With a big auction on the horizon, the 8 current teams were only allowed to retain 4 players. While a few attempted to save their fundamentals, others worked hard and saved for a transformation in the auction scenario. Furthermore, each of the 2 additional teams selected 3 players from the list of non-retained players.
This implies that each of the ten teams will enter the auction with a different purse sum, and it will be exciting to watch how the finalized teams will appear. Likewise, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the IPL 2022 would begin in the final week of March.
