Former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee tweeted a photo with Tannishtha Chatterjee, who was his co-star in the film ‘Unindian’. “So nice to randomly bump into my co-actor @TannishthaC in India,” he tweeted along with the photo. “Best of luck with your new film Roam Rome Mein,” Brett Lee added. He also tagged ‘Sacred Games’ actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who, along with Chatterjee, plays the lead role in their upcoming film. The Australian was, meanwhile, mobbed by fans.
“Incredible,” a fan tweeted, with the ‘folded hands’ emoji.
“Nice sir,” tweeted another fan.
“Unindian was a great movie,” another user tweeted. “Mr. And Miss. UnIndian” wrote another fan.
Unindian is a 2015 Indian-Australian romantic comedy film featuring the leading roles of Brett Lee and Tannishtha Chatterjee. Also part of the cast of the film was Supriya Pathak and Gulshan Grover.
Unindian was the only foray into movies by Brett Lee, apart from an appearance in the Harman Baweja-starrer ‘Victory’ along with several other cricketers.
Tannishtha Chatterjee appeared in many films, most notably in ‘Angry Indian Goddesses’ and ‘Parched.’
Brett Lee, along with other retired stars including Sachin Tendulkar, Barian Lara, and Virendra Sehwag, will return to cricketing action when he plays next year India’s Road Safety World Series T20 competition.
Together with Sachin Tendulkar and former South African batsman Jonty Rhodes, the pacer is known for his love for India and was seen enjoying sweets last year on Diwali.
Brett Lee picked up 310 wickets in 76 test matches as a prolific bowler for Australia. He also has 380 wickets from 221 ODIs to his credit and 28 from 25 ODIs to his name.
