After nearly a month of rushed travel and difficult quarantine, David Warner has reunited with his family. After the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Suspension due to the COVID-19 situation, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener had to go to the Maldives with his fellow Australian players owing to a travel ban in Australia. A few weeks ago, the Australian group, which arrived in Sydney, was subjected to yet another required quarantine before going home.

Warner finally visited his family on Monday after a long wait, and the scenes were emotional. Candice, the cricketer’s wife, shared photographs and videos of the reunion on her Instagram story. David Warner can be seen embracing his youngest daughter, Isla, in one of the clips as the other two children talk with him. Candice also shared a photo of Warner and Isla together.
Fans were overjoyed to see Warner meet his wife and children after such a long period, and the photos and videos quickly went viral. Despite this, the 34-year-old is safe and sound, and his family can breathe a sigh of relief.
The team’s management decided to replace ‘David Warner’ as captain with ‘Kane Williamson’
Warner, on the other hand, had a forgettable IPL 2021 season. The opener, who had returned from a leg injury, wasn’t at his best in the first few games. With a strike rate of a little over 110, he scored 193 runs in six games. With SRH losing one game after another, the team’s management decided to remove Warner as captain and replace him with Kane Williamson. The Australian dasher was even left out of the starting XI.
The Orange Army was lowest in the team rankings at the time of the season suspension, with only one win in seven games. As a result, they must win all of their remaining league-stage games to ensure a spot in the playoffs. According to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI, the remaining matches will be held in the UAE). However, many overseas players are unwilling to participate because of the packed international calendar.
