Records:
Captain KL Rahul brought up an excellent fifty off 37 deliveries. It was his 20th IPL half-century and fourth in 2020 IPL. Chris Gayle had completed his 4500 IPL runs, which is his 1st appearance in this 2020 IPL season.
With a boundary of Chris Gayle, both the batsmen completed their 50 runs partnership. It seemed like KXIP was in the driver’s seat. From the universe boss, Chris Gayle, what a terrific half-century in 36 deliveries. No doubt that he has arrived in 20202 IPL in his own style!! But in 19.5 over, Chris Gayle run out!!
One ball and one run needed now. Nicholas Pooran was on strike and it was six!!! Kings XI Punjab won the 31st match by 8 runs. Yes, you read the right!!!
This was just the second win of this 2020 IPL edition and both have come against RCB.
