Let’s come to the 1st innings:

CSK won the toss and opted to bat first. Sam Curran and Faf du Plessis opened the innings for Chennai Super Kings. And on the last delivery of 2nd over only, 1st blow for CSK as Faf du Plessis (10) hit the ball direct to Jos Buttler on a short one from RR star pacer Jofra Archer.

Exactly after 6 balls, Kartik Tyagi had his man, Shane Watson, who scored only 8 runs. Sam Curran tried to take just one from Shreyas Gopal for the big hit but unfortunately holed out to Jos Buttler. Sam Curran was dismissed after scoring 22 runs in 25 deliveries.

In the last delivery of 9th over, Ambati Rayudu (13) tried to slog clean one, but it was easily taken by Samson. Both leggies back to the pavilion in consecutive overs. Over 10, CSK- 56/4.

MS Dhoni was run out in the 17th over after he went for a double off a misfield. MS pushed very hard but he was done by the smallest margins of 28 runs. And CSK finished on a modest score of 125 runs with the loss of 5 wickets. Jadeja was the only batsman who was able to show some intent, remain unbeaten on 35 runs.
