India pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah who is suffered from a brief lower back injury is now all set to come back in the tour of Newzealand in 2020. as he missed the test with South Africa due to the injury
“He (Bumrah) is gradually getting back to full fitness, though we need to hear from the people working on his recovery”, “His return cannot be before next month as we are still waiting for a report on him. But of course, he is expected to be back for the New Zealand series,” MSK Prasad chief selector said on the sidelines of the ongoing Day-Night pink-ball Test at the Eden on Saturday.
“Despite our best efforts, there can be no guarantees. We expect Bumrah to be back sooner than later, hopefully in time for the New Zealand Test series that is our next big challenge,” Bharat Arun had said.
Bumrah name was not listed in the upcoming test series against South Africa, his place is replaced by the Umesh Yadav in the coming test series retained his place in the team along with Mohammed Shami
Team India will be hosting both Sri Lanka and Australia in January before heading to New Zealand for a two-Test, three-ODIs and five T20I tours and that is where the management believes it is crucial to have someone like Bumrah at 100 percent.
