The ongoing series of tests between India and South Africa has so far turned out to be a lopsided contest in favor of the hosts. The Proteas had high expectations but they failed miserably. In truth, for Virat Kohli and his men, South Africa did not put a fight.
The series began with India thrashing the tourists by 203 runs. However, by scoring 431 in the game’s first innings, South Africa had shown hope. However, after the series-opener, their quality of play only deteriorated. India thrashed them with an innings and 137 runs in the second game to mark their biggest victory in Tests over the African country.
In the ongoing third Test, the fortunes of South Africa have not improved much either. India got off to a poor start with the bat, reeling 39 for 3. But all has gone their way from there. Riding on the double century of Rohit Sharma, the century of Ajinkya Rahane and the fifty of Ravindra Jadeja, India posted 497 (declared) for 9. In response, before bad light put a premature end to the game, South Africa was 9 for 2.
Michael Vaughan trolled
While India was at its most dominant position in the series, former England Skipper Michael Vaughan felt the games were boring. Shortly after the completion of his fifty by Ravindra Jadeja, Vaughan took to Twitter to congratulate him but again criticized the level of competition in the show. Calling the proceedings Boring, Vaughan tweeted, “Once again @imjadeja delivers !!! Btw it will be the same game as last week & the week before …. #Boring #INDvsSA”
Unsurprisingly, the fans were not at all pleased by Vaughan’s tweet in which he did not recognize India’s dominant performance and Indians did not rake long to troll him.
