Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, considers his team’s bowling attack, which includes Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and Shadab Khan, to be the “greatest in the world.”
Rizwan’s comments came ahead of Pakistan’s delayed three-match One-Day International series against the West Indies, which begins on June 8. Even English players praise Pakistan bowlers, according to Rizwan, who is currently one of the top-rated hitters in white-ball cricket.
“We have the finest bowling assault in the world.” When I hear certain English players praising our bowlers, it makes me feel extremely good,” Rizwan, who was in England playing county cricket with Sussex, told reporters.
Rizwan spent time with India’s Test No. 3 Cheteshwar Pujara, putting in a lot of effort to learn the art of batting from the right-hander. Rizwan remarked, “I chatted to Pujara about cricket in the County Championship and learned a lot from him.”
The right-hander claimed the weather would be challenged, but he won’t use it as an “excuse” because the Babar Azam-led team has been playing some excellent cricket recently. “The weather is scorching, without a question,” he said, “but that is no excuse for us; we have been playing in a variety of hard situations since we were under-19.”
When asked about the connections with commander Babar, Rizwan stated that the two of them must work together to elevate Pakistan cricket to new heights.
“[Babar Azam’s] demeanor is really down-to-earth. “His goal is to elevate Pakistan’s squad to new heights,” he stated. “His cover drive has a worldwide following.
Because we [Me and Babar] play in the top-order, if we [Me and Babar] do not compete, the Pakistan team’s performance would suffer. It also simplifies things for gamers that come after us. He went on to say, “This is a good competition for the Pakistan squad.”
The three One-Day Internationals against the West Indies were scheduled to take place in December of last year, but a Covid-19 incident among the visitors’ crew forced the cricket boards to postpone the series until June.
