ICC Men’s T20 Player Ranking Updates
ICC Men’s T20 Batting Rankings
Suryakumar Yadav the dashing India batter, surpassed all other batters to take the top spot in T20 Internationals. All thanks to his outstanding recent performance. Yadav became only the second Indian player to hold the top T20I batter position after passing Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan. Earlier Virat Kohli was in the top spot for almost 3 years.
SKY has established himself as one of the top batters in the game’s shortest format. He is playing T20I for India since March of last year. In 37 appearances for his nation, Yadav has scored one century and 11 fifties.
Surya isn’t the only batter making waves after a great start to the T20 World Cup; left-hander Rilee Rossouw of South Africa. Dasher Glenn Phillips of New Zealand are also making striking inroads within the top 10.
In the most recent T20I batter rankings, Rossouw, 33, jumps a massive 17 spots to sixth overall after smashing a brilliant century against Bangladesh in Sydney. The only other New Zealand player higher of Phillips on the most recent list of batters is teammate Devon Conway (third), who also scored 104 against Sri Lanka at the SCG. Phillips climbs five spots to seventh position.
ICC Men’s T20 Bowling Ranking
The most recent list of T20I bowlers also has a lot of movement. Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga coming agonizingly close to unseating fellow spinner Rashid Khan for the top spot.
Hasaranga leads all bowlers in wickets taken in the T20 World Cup so far with 13, moving the right-armer up to second place overall on the most recent list of bowlers. With a total of 700 rating points, Rashid continues to be at the top of the list, while Hasaranga (697), Tabraiz Shamsi (694), and Josh Hazlewood (692) are also close behind.
After a strong start to the T20 World Cup, England’s Sam Curran moves up two ranks to sixth overall, while South Africa’s Anrich Nortje moves up 11 spots to ninth.
ICC Men’s T20 Allrounders Ranking
The new rankings for T20I all-rounders show little movement inside the top 10, where Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan continues to hold a slim lead over Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi.
Fifth and sixth position switch between Zimbabwe veteran Sikandar Raza and Namibian power hitter J.J. Smit, while Australia’s Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell both move up one spot in the top 10.
