Asia Cup 2022, PAK vs HK 1st Innings 10 Over Update: The do or die contest between Pakistan and Hongkong is ongoing and we are all excited for it. The much anticipated contest to decide who will be the second team after India in the Super 4 has Pakistan batting first and they have scored a total of 64 runs in the first 10 overs at the loss of 1 wicket.
After winning the toss, Hong kong elected to field first. Nizakat claimed that since they play on slow, low surfaces at home and rely on their spinners, Sharjah’s low and slow court is ideal for them.
Much like in their first game, Babar Azam lost his wicket early on. During the first six overs, Rizwan who was joined by Fakhar Zaman after the loss of 1st wicket utilized the opportunity, co scoring 40 runs. The power play restrictions saw a little help with the scoreboard ticking.
Ehsan Khan bowled the 6th over of the innings and kept things tight, conceding just 4 runs from the over. The 8th over of the innings was bowled by Murtaza who continued the momentum, conceding just 6 runs from the over. The scoreboard looked a lot slow at this point.
4 runs came off the 9th over of the innings bowled by Gazanfar where he kept things tight again. There was a scare for Pakistan that may have gotten Zaman out, but it turned in their favor. Murtaza continued the spell and bowled the 10th over of the innings, conceding just 6 runs from it.
The run rate at the end of 10th over is 6.40. The projected score at this rate at the end of the innings is 140 runs. M Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman are at the crease now.
If Pakistan doesn’t pick up pace at this point, they are in for a big turnaround that the world may not have expected.
