Ravi Bishnoi was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Indian on 5 September 2000. Bishnoi is an Indian right-arm leg-break bowler. Ravi Bishnoi is known for his Googly. Bishnoi is wildly considered the future of the Indian bowling department. His variations have troubled many batters in the Indian Premier League. Ravi Bishnoi made his first International appearance in February 2022. In TATA IPL 2022, Ravi Bishnoi was picked up by the newly formed Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the mega auction for a whopping amount of 4 crores.

Ravi Bishnoi started off playing cricket at a very early age of just 5 years. In his early days, Bishnoi used to play gully cricket along with his brother. In the beginning, Bishnoi used to be a medium-fast bowler. Due to lack of resources in the area, Ravi along with his friends somehow opened their small academy. They even build the academy themselves and named it as Spartans Cricket Academy. After the recommendation of his friends and the coaches, Bishnoi changed his bowling style to spin.

Ravi Bishnoi Domestic Career

Ravi Bishnoi’s domestic career has been full of ups and downs. During his Under-16 days, Bishnoi was neglected by the selectors as an average spin bowler. He was also neglected during the selection of Under-19 team of Rajasthan twice. However, somehow he got selected in the Under-19 Rajasthan team.

Ravi Bishnoi made his Domestic cricket debut in a T20 match for Rajasthan on 21 February 2019 in Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament.

In September 2019, Ravi Bishnoi was picked up in the Rajasthan squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament at the age of just 19 years.

In the next month, Bishnoi got selected in India A squad in the Deodhar Trophy tournament.

In December 2019, Ravi Bishnoi was picked up in the Under-19 squad for India in the Under-19 ICC Cricket World Cup. Ravi Bishnoi ended up as the highest wicket taker of the tournament and also won Player of the match award on 2 matches. Bishnoi picked 17 wickets in the tournament, highest by any Indian bowler ever in an Under-19 World Cup.
