Prithvi Shaw was born on 9 November 1999 in Virar, Maharashtra, India. He reputedly known as Prithvi Pankaj Shaw. An Indian right-hand batter, he is one of those few young Indian talents who are seen as the future of Indian Cricket. Prithvi Shaw is the youngest Indian batter to score a century. Shaw has also proved his leadership skills during the Under-19 World Cup in 2018. Prithvi Shaw led India to win the title. Prithvi Shaw has an aggressive batting style and is known to capitalize during the Powerplay overs. Prithvi Shaw’s early life was full of struggles. He lost his mother at a very early age of 4 years. A year later, Prithvi Shaw started playing cricket. His father got him enrolled in a cricket academy in Virar, Mumbai. Few years later, he started playing for MIG Cricket Club. At the age of 10 years, a sports management company offered Shaw a contract of 3 Lakhs to develop his career. In 2012, he was selected in a three month tour to Manchester for study and training. In 2013, Prithvi Shaw made a record of scoring highest runs in a match. He smashed 546 runs off just 330 balls in the Harris Shield Trophy. In 2012 and 2013, Prithvi Shaw led his team Rizvi Springfield to win the Harris Shield Trophy. He smashed highest runs in the season 2012 including 4 centuries.
During his visit to Manchester in 2012, Prithvi Shaw smashed 1446 runs on English turf and impressed everyone with his skills including a century on debut.
In 2017, Prithvi Shaw was selected in the Indian Under-19 team and was groomed under Rahul Dravid. He was part of the squad that won 2017 Under-19 Asia Cup.

Prithvi Shaw made his IPL debut on 23rd April 2018 against Kings XI Punjab and became the youngest batter to open the innings in IPL history. He smashed 22 runs off just 10 balls on his debut.
