Adam Zampa is an Australian right-arm leg spinner who was born in Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia on 31 March 1992. Adam Zampa is part of the Australian limited-overs setup for almost the past 5 years and has maintained his place as the first-choice spinner in T20Is and ODIs. However, Adam Zampa hasn’t played any Test for Australia yet. Adam Zampa is also an effective lower-middle-order batter who can score runs in times of need for his team. Adam Zampa has taken more than 100 wickets in ODIs and was also part of the Australian team that won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021.

Adam Zampa started off playing cricket at the age of 6 years. Adam Zampa started his journey as a medium pacer but later changed his bowling style to leg-spin due to some restrictions. Adam Zampa was inspired by legend Shane Warne. He played many Under-14 matches for his school and club team and won many matches for them single handedly.

Adam Zampa started off his domestic career in 2009 when he was first picked in the Australian Under-19 squad. He was then picked up in the squad for ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup and helped Australia in winning the tournament.
After getting success in Under-19 World Cup, Adam Zampa signed a contract with New South Wales in 2010. However he didn’t to play many matches due
to the competition in the squad. He was also picked up in the Australian team to play in Hong Kong sixes tournament.
In 2012 Sheffield Shield tournament, Adam Zampa made his first-class debut in a match against Queensland and picked up 5 wickets. He was awarded with Player of the match title.
He was roped in by South Australia in 2013 and made his List A and T20 debut for the team. In 2014 Matador BBQs one day cup, Adam Zampa picked 4 wickets in the match and impressed everyone with his bowling.
He continued playing for South Australia in List A cricket but changed his team to Melbourne Stars for T20 matches.
In 2015 Matador BBQs one day cup, Adam Zampa helped his team in making a place to the finals by picking up 4 wickets in the semi final match against Cricket Australia XI.
In 2022, Adam Zampa was signed by Welsh Fire for The Hundred tournament.

Adam Zampa made his International Debut for Australia in an ODI match against New Zealand on 6th February 2016 and picked 1 wicket in the match.
One month later, Adam Zampa made his T20I debut for Australia in a match against South Africa. In the same year, Adam Zampa was included in the squad for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Australia had a disastrous tournament but Adam Zampa emerged as the leading wicket taker for his team in the tournament.
Australian team also faced some harshness when Adam Zampa was dropped from the squad in 2016 Sri Lanka series despite of giving magnificent performances. This resulted in Australia’s defeat in the series.
Adam Zampa was also picked up in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017 but didn’t get a chance to play many matches.
Adam Zampa was picked up in the Australia’s squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021 where he played an important role in making his team winners of the tournament for the first time ever in the history of T20 World Cup. Adam Zampa picked his maiden 5 wicket-haul in the World T20 match against Bangladesh on 4th November 2021.

In 2016, Adam Zampa was roped in by Rising Pune Supergiants and Zampa played magnificently in the season picking 12 wickets in just 5 matches including his spell of 6/19 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Adam Zampa made a record of best bowling figures in a lost match.
Adam Zampa was signed by Guyana Amazon Warriors to play in Caribbean Premier League and he took 15 wickets in the tournament.
