Win Or Lose We Are Going To Be The Same: Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Following India’s limited-overs series versus Sri Lanka in July, Rahul Dravid was given the job of coaching the squad. Dravid, who was charged with guiding an inexperienced group of players, performed an admirable job, winning the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League ODI series 2-1. The efficiency with which Dravid and his teammates battled back after losing 7 wickets for 193 runs in a run-chase of 270 gained them much applause and praise in the 2nd ODI match. Deepak Chahar has emerged as a new icon for India, as has Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a tough lower-order batsman. The bowler was recovering from an ailment and was also expected to help out stand-in team captain Shikhar Dhawan. Kumar was up to the mark and kept up for the entire six-game white-ball tournament. He was the finest Indian bowler on the showcase, with 8 wickets.

“It was a good experience,” Bhuvneshwar Kumar replied. “I was looking forward to working with him, and we know how calm he is, and how he works. So he was very similar when he was coaching us. He is someone who looks for the details, gives attention to details. He just wants to keep everything perfect from his side”, Bhuvi was asked to shed light on his experience of working with Dravid by VVS Laxman.

SRH will have to work hard in the 2nd leg of the IPL

“The one thing I liked from him that he said that – ‘Win or lose we’re gonna be same,” he added. “I won’t appreciate much if you win. I won’t criticize you much if you lose.’ Like I said, he is very calm. I loved working with him.”

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is a key component of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise in addition to being an important member of the Indian side. In 126 IPL matches, he has collected 139 wickets. SRH, on the other hand, struggled to form as a team this year, mostly in the first half of the IPL.

They’re now at the bottom of the points standings. Kumar, on the other hand, believes Kane Williamson’s guidance will help the group turn a corner. SRH has competed for the playoffs every year since the 2016 season. However, they will have to work hard in the 2nd half of the 14th edition of the IPL, which begins on 19th September.
