WI openers Shai Hope and John Campbell Join the ODI world record

West Indies cricketers are busy all around Globe. While the Players from WI Kieron Pollard, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell are busy in IPL. And the new generation WI squad are currently on National Duty.

The WI new opening duo Shai Hope and John Campbell created a new record with their incredible batting partnership of 365 runs in the first innings against Ireland in the Tri-Nation Series in Dublin. This is the highest opening partnership record and they nearly broke the record of highest partnership record for any wicket.

The record for highest partnership is owned by WI, Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels with 372 for the second wicket in the match against Zimbabwe in 2015

Shai Hope has scored 170 runs in 152 balls with 22 fours and 2 sixes with a strike rate of 111.84. And John Campbell scored 179 runs in just 137 balls with 14 fours and 6 sixes with a strike rate of 130.

After the excellent partnership of both the batsman West Indies has put up a score of 381/3 in 50 overs. And Ireland was able to score just 185.

John Campbell has been awarded as the Man of the Match.

But unfortunately only Shai Hope was selected for World Cup and John Campbell is not on the list.
