WATCH: Jesse Tashkoff And Joseph Field Helps Injured McKenzie

In Benoni, at the time of the second quarter-final of the ongoing ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup between New Zealand and West Indies, the batsman of West Indies Kirk Mckenzie was injured. After that Jesse Tashkoff and Joseph from New Zealand were seen helping that injured batsman.

It all happened when West Indies innings had finished and kiwis players Jesse Tashkoff and Joseph, who were on the field – helped in carrying off Kirk Mckenzie who had an injury and was feeling pain in his right leg.

It is worth to mention that McKenzie was on a stretcher during 43rd over as he was unable to continue play because he had pain in his leg. When Joshua James was dismissed on 18 runs as a ninth-wicket at the meantime McKenzie decided to play the rest of 14 deliveries to contribute his team’s total.

After coming in to bat McKenzie ended up getting out on the first delivery which he faced. At that time he was almost unable to walk. Without being affected he showed lots of courage in death overs, it was unfortunate that he had to return on 99 (104) which includes three sixes and 11 fours.

New Zealand Seamer Kristian Clarke was the pick of New Zealand bowlers with bowling figures of 7.5-2-25-4. Other than Clarke there was Tashkoff and Joseph Field who picked up two wickets each. At that time, for 238 in 47.5 overs West Indies were all out. The Captain of West Indies had won the toss and opted to bat.
