Virendra Sehwag Appeals To People To Stay In Their Homes

Virendra Sehwag Says Curfew Is Care For You

Former Indian dashing opening batsman Virendra Sehwag has urged the people of the country to stay indoors to eradicate the deadly coronavirus, as it continues to spread freely.

The attacking batsman wrote on his Twitter, “Poora Bharat Aaram Se Ghar Par Rahega, Yeh Corona Virus Yahaan Se Jald Daudega (If the whole country stays comfortably in their homes, this coronavirus will run away). Please please stay at home and we shall overcome this soon.”

He also commented,”Gharwaalon ke saath ghar mein baithkar mast baatein kijiye,antakshari kheliye, kitaabein padiye, apne favourite shows dekhiye, yoga/exercise kijiye,naye naye dishes try kijiye, Par please ghar se mat nikliyega,aap se dil se vinanti karta hoon. Kisi bhi bheed ka hissa nahi baniye ( Spend time with your family members by chitchatting, or play Antakshari with them, read books, watch your favourite programmes on T.V. Do exercises or yoga, Try preparing new dishes, but please don’t leave your homes. This is my sincere appeal. Don’t be part of any crowd).”

He further added,” Sabki khwaish rehti thi ki gharwaalon ke saath samay bita paayein. Ab woh samay aur mauka mila hai. Ghar mein Carrom, Ludo ,Saanp Seedhi khelkar purani yaadein taza kijiye.( Everybody wish to enjoy time with family members.  The time and opportunity has come now.Play carroms, Snakes and Ladders and refresh your old memories).”

He also appealed that the Janata Curfew imposed by the Indian government is not a curfew but ‘care for you’. “We have to stay united but should not gather”, he said.

Cricketers Support Modi’s Call For Curfew

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked all the citizens of this country to follow Janata Curfew on Sunday, by not coming outside of their houses, as a part of the government’s efforts to combat the spread of the deadly virus.

Many prominent cricketers including Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif and other sports personalities have come out in support of the Prime Minister’s call to stay away from the streets.
