The buzz of the town is now Virat Kohli’s batting slump. The top batter’s last century came in 2019, and since then, he has failed to reach the three-figure barrier. In the second ODI against England, Kohli was removed for 16 off 25 balls, which led Pakistan captain Babar Azam to tweet in support of him. Currently, Kohli has responded to Babar’s tweet. Kohli praised Babar for his support on Twitter and wished him success. Of note, Babar is in charge of Pakistan for the current two-match Test series with Pakistan.

Babar had given a news conference the day before the first Test against Sri Lanka when he was questioned about his tweet regarding Kohli. “Being a player myself, I am aware of the possibility of experiencing such a period (being out of shape), as well as the difficulties a player encounters throughout it. The Indian hitter has received backing from all quarters despite the fact that Kohli hasn’t scored a century since November 2019. Kohli has received support from several notable figures in cricket, including Babar, the English player Jos Buttler, and Indian captain Rohit Sharma.
