‘My main aim is to help India win Asia Cup and World Cup’, says Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is currently resting and is not part ongoing series against West Indies after having a dreary campaign in England recently. But he is expected to be back for India during the Asia Cup 2022 that starts in UAE late August.

Kohli, who tasted the honour of being the no.1 batter in all-formats of the game, has been attacked by criticizers heavily these days for not been performing consistently and for his long century drought.

It’s almost 3 years, when the king Kohli scored the century, but during his last 78 international innings he was unable to score a single one. But Kohli once again grabbed the limelight after expressing his desire to give everything to the best of his abilities and hinted towards his comeback for the prestigious Asia Cup 2022.

Who won the Asia Cup 2018?

When Asia Cup was last held in 2018, Kohli was not the part of the squad as he took rest. In the absence of Kohli, Rohit Sharma appointed as the captain and India won the title after defeating Bangladesh in the finals by 3 wickets.

The format of Asia Cup has once again been altered to T20s this time, considering the preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The former captain vowed to do everything in his power to help India’s team win the World Cup. Team India’s major focus is to win the 2022 T20 World Cup, which will be held later in October in Australia.
