Virat Kohli Decides To Step Down As RCB Captain After IPL-2021

RCB has stated that Virat Kohli would step down as captain once VIVO IPL 2021 concludes since he has made a personal decision. Kohli, the franchise’s most accomplished player, will remain with the RCB team, Virat Kohli Decides To Step Down As RCB Captain.

Virat Kohli also stated this week that he would step down as India’s T20I captain following the T20 World Cup. At the moment, one of the reasons for his decision to step down was the workload. However, he has chosen not to head RCB again in the upcoming season, with the mega-auction also scheduled for later this year.

Prathmesh Mishra, RCB Chairman said: “Virat Kohli is one of the finest cricketers, and has been a true asset to RCB. His impeccable work ethics and leadership skills has been phenomenal. We respect and support this decision and would like to thank Virat for his incredible contribution to the RCB leadership group. He has left an indelible mark on the franchise and will continue to be a senior member of the team.”
