The nail-biting battle between the United States and Nepal ended with both teams sharing 1-1 points as the high-scoring match ended in a tie on Saturday.

In the 87th match of the ICC cricket league phase two played at Moosa Cricket Stadium in Pearland, Nepal after winning the toss elected to bat first and had put 274 on board in their 50 overs quota, however the highly charged were almost achieved the target when they required 1 run in 2 balls but they lost 2 wickets in 2 balls as the match was ended as a tie.

However, team Nepal can score 300 plus runs as when they lost the 4th wicket they were at 243 in 43.4 overs, but the remaining batters didn’t able to perform well as Nepal bowled out on 274.

In reply, USA lost their first wicket at just 26 runs, but the in-form Steven Taylor scored another century and did a 200-run partnership with the skipper Monank Patel (85) to put USA back on track.

Aaron Jones, who came in at No. 4, then placed the task of leading the USA to victory on his shoulders, but he failed to do so when, even after being set on wicket, he threw his wicket when the team needed only 1 run in 2 balls. While Rahul Jariwala was run out on the final ball, the game finished in a draw.

Player of the match was awarded to Steven Taylor for his spectacular knock of 114 runs in 123 balls.

United States is currently on fourth position with 10 wins and 11 losses in 21 games. While Nepal is at sixth spot with 6 wins and 7 losses in 14 matches.

Both teams will again face each other in the final match of ICC cricket world cup league 2 on June 15.
