No Mercy, Still Undefeated and Untouched Mumbai Indians Continue their winning streak after beating UP Warriorz by 8 wickets

UP Warriorz vs Mumbai Indians Women – First Innings Update 

The hand speed of Harmanpreet Kaur while playing sweep shots was simply amazing to watch. But with this victory against UP Warriorz, Mumbai has successfully beaten all four teams in the WPL so far 

UP-W vs MI-W Match Highlights: Wow what a game, Mumbai Indians Women’s team is still undefeated in the Tata Womens Premier League 2023. Mumbai beat UP Warriorz by 8 wickets to extend the lead in the points table. What a performance from the Mumbai side as they never were out of this game. They made sure that they had the control all time. Mumbai Indians were good in all aspects of the game (Bat- Ball- Field).

Harmanpreet Kaur lead the team from the front as she scored a half-century in this match to dominate UP. The Mumbai player has been outstanding showing her class against all the opponents in the WPL so far. Her hand speed of her while playing sweep shots was simply amazing to watch.

UP-W vs MI-W: Early on in the Innings 

Results were coming in thanks to the Mumbai Indians women’s team’s potent bowling unit, which was consistently producing. The 10th WPL game’s first innings have already seen six wickets fall, but today’s Mumbai bowlers were practically mute.

Alyssa Healy and Tahlia McGrath, the UP captains, both contributed by scoring half-centuries to help UP reach a respectable total to hold against the potent Mumbai batters.

Saika Ishaque from the Mumbai Indians was once more a notable player when facing UP players. In her four over, she took three wickets and gave up 33 runs. In contrast, Amelia Kerr and Hayley Matthews each took two wickets to limit the UP Warriorz to 159/6 in just 20 overs.

UP-W vs MI-W: UP Warriorz Bowling Struggle to outstand Mumbai Players 

With a decent total to defend UP Warriorz were in the game when the second innings started but it all changed once the opening pair of Mumbai Hayley Matthews and Yastika Bhatia stitched up 51 runs in the powerplay without losing any wickets.

UP finally broke the opening pair thanks to Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sophie Ecclestone who dismissed both the openers. But the problem did not solve for UP as in came skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Nat Sciver-Brunt started playing shorts all around the park. Both of them combined scored 106 runs and that resulted in Mumbai keeping the run rate in check. 

UP-W vs MI-W: Star players of the Match 

For UP Warriorz Skipper Alyssa Healy and Tahlia McGrath played a vital role in letting UP’s score reach 155+. Alyssa Healy scored 58 runs from 46 balls. While Tahila scored 50 runs from 37 balls. 

For Mumbai, wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia started off in a great fashion as she scored a quick 42 runs from 27 balls. Which included eight fours and one six. Her quick start gave Mumbai good powerplay. 

Harmanpreet Kaur and Nat Sciver-Brunt were the players who took the game away from the UP Warriors completely as Nat Sciver smashed 45 runs from 31 balls, with 6 fours and 1 sixes. While skipper Harmanpreet scored 53 runs from 33 balls which included one sixes and nine fours.

UP-W vs MI-W: What’s Next?

After an exciting match, UP Warriorz will face off against RCB-W on 15th March at 7:30 PM IST. While on the other hand, Mumbai Indian women will face off on 14th March Tuesday at 7:30 PM IST.
