U19CWC – India U19 Team Creates A New Record

The ICC U19 World Cup is running successfully and it got a tremendous love from the fans. Recently there was a U19 match between India and Australia. In that match, India defeated Australia by 74 runs. With that, India has increased the possibility to set its position in the semifinals. In this chase, India has created a memorable record as the first country that has won 200 Youth ODIs.

Before this, the Indian team had recorded in the same context where they were named as the first 100 youth cricket match-winner. This record of 100 matches win was made by them in 2008. In that match, India had defeated West Indies.

Now, once more India has played a fantastic game in which with the help of Atharva Ankoleka’s half-century, India had reached a score of 233 for nine while Kartik Tyagi maintained his pace and swing and took four wickets. And Australia was all out for 159.

A very big record has been also recorded by India, by most consecutive wins in U19 World Cups. Under their belt, they have, made 10 consecutive wins. Previously, India had tied with the Australia-U19 team where Australia had won 9 matches within 2002-2004.

Against Australia, India had registered their first win and now repeatedly they have recorded their 10th win once more against Australia.

In the U19 WorldCup India has reached the semifinal stage for the ninth time by winning over Australia. This feat was achieved by Australia nine times and followed by Pakistan with eight times.
