India made a spectacular performance in the last match against Pakistan and won by 89 runs in the 22nd match of ICC world cup 2019. This was India’s seventh win over Pakistan in the world cup.
Pakistan’s backbone was bowling, so it went for same when they won the toss. They thought of taking the wickets at an early stage but couldn’t happen. Rohit Sharma the opener didn’t leave the innings without making a century. Rohit Sharma and K L Rahul made 136 runs for opening wicket in less than 24 overs. After K.L.Rahul got out, Virat made 77 runs. Even though India has lost wickets eventually, it ended up with 336 runs at a loss of 5 wickets after 50 overs.
Making 337 runs was a huge task to Pakistan to win the match, which became even complicated with Imam-ul-Haq’s wicket at an early stage of the match by Vijay Shankar. Vijay Shankar had taken a wicket with his first delivery in the world cup. Even though Bhuvneshwar was injured, Shankar has made an excellent play in his place.
After the fall of the first wicket in 14 runs, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman have taken the play to a different level. They both, with a good partnership, had almost made the required run rate and scored a partnership of 104 runs at this point of time, India was under pressure. However, Kuldeep Yadav has changed the complete game by pulling off these two batsmen in two successive overs. And Hardik Pandya took 2 wickets in two successive deliveries, which made Pakistan 117-2 to 129-5 in just 3 overs.
When they were at 166 with a loss of 5 wickets, it was raining and the overs were reduced to 40. The target given to them was 302, which was merely impossible to get. Finally, they ended up the match with 212 at a loss of 6 wickets.
India has built up a strong team and has won with 89 runs against Pakistan and stood third in the points table. And India should be leading as the strong team in the whole world cup.

Congratulations to @BCCI on a well deserved win today. The standard of cricket being played has been exceptionally high & credit goes to IPL for not only helping identify & harness talent, but also in equipping younger players with pressure handling techniques #CWC19 #PAKVIND https://t.co/MfiwQxwjrK
