IPL 2021: Indian Fans Thrash Dale Steyn For His Comments Over IPL

Premier pace bowler Dale Steyn recently took a low blow at India’s top-tier T20 League, the IPL. The 37-year-old South African international claimed that the Indian Premier League is less rewarding as compared to Pakistan Super League. Dale Steyn, earlier this year, revealed that he won’t be featuring in this upcoming edition of the IPL due to some personal reasons. However, he is currently playing for Quetta Gladiators in the on-going season of the PSL.

IPL 2021: What did Dale Steyn say?

Dale Steyn, in a recent interview with Express Tribune, compared the cash-rich Indian Premier League with other T20 competitions in the world. According to Steyn, IPL focuses more on money rather than the spirit of cricket. He cited IPL’s money-oriented nature behind his decision to not feature in the Indian league.

He was quoted saying: “IPL is less rewarding as compared to PSL and other leagues. cricket gets forgotten, amid money talks, in the IPL which is why I decided against playing the last season. There is a breeding machine of fast-bowlers here in Pakistan which is great to see.”

Indian Fans Troll The Legendary Bowler

However, Dale Steyn words didn’t go down well with fans of Indian cricket. They instantly took their Twitter accounts to give it back to the South African pacer. Have a look.
