Knight Riders Reached The Halfway Mark Of The League Stage:
Trinbago Knight Riders has preserved a clean slate with a fifth win in as many matches, while Mohammad Nabi has posted a career-best five-game ride to lead St Lucia Zouks to a six-game victory in the Hero Caribbean Premier League.
The Knight Riders had reached the halfway mark of the league stage with a perfect five-game record as Guyana Amazon Warriors outperformed the seven-game all-round set. Sent to the bat, the Warriors posted a low of 112 for 7. The Knight Riders then reassessed the goal, scoring 115 for 3 with 10 balls to spare.

Trinbago had an early break when Sikandar Raza cleared Brandon King (6) in the second round of the innings. Khary Pierre then struck twice in one over, dismissing Chandrapaul Hemraj (2) and Nicholas Pooran (1) from Amazon Warriors at 12 to 3.
Given Shimron Hetmeyer’s 26 out of 30 balls, Ross Taylor’s 26 out of 23, and Keemo Paul’s 28 out of 26, Warriors never looked good and ended the innings at 112 in seven.

Chasing the total, the Knight Riders started well at 32, with no loss in five overs. Imran Tahir broke through with two wickets in two balls in the sixth over, sending Lendl Simmons back (19) with a google and then a major leg-break ended Colin Munro’s (0) stay. Nabi Takes Five:
In another battle, Nabi won five in 15 as St. Lucia Zouks won a complete six-game victory over St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots. With Patriots limited to 110 for nine in 20 overs, Zouks was never in trouble and went to an comfortable win with 32 balls to spare.
Zouk ‘s captain Daren Sammy asked Patriots to fight, and before Nabi scored, both Chris Lynn and Nick Kelly dropped the third and fifth deliveries. Coming back in the third over the innings, Nabi had another twin-stroke as Denesh Ramdin led Najibullah Zadran, and out of the next ball, Patriot’s leading scorer Evin Lewis, spooned a spade to Roston Chase.
Patriots soon turned 11 to 4 in three overs. Ben Dunk did some damage control with 33 in 37, but he didn’t get much support. Patriots lost wickets at regular intervals, and when Dunk left making 62 for six, it was a matter of time.
Sohail Tanvir (16) and Alzarri Joseph (21 in 13) were well advised to take them into three figures, even as Nabi had completed his five-blade haul when Tanvir scooped a sweep to Zahir at a short fine leg. In reply, the Cornwall Opener (26) gave Zouks a flying start, hammering Tanvir for two fours and two towering sixes.
Khan dismissed Cornwall and added Mark Deyal to the first ball list after rain. Fletcher later became Khan ‘s third wicket as Zouks reached 79-3 over 10. Roston Chase (27) and Najibullah (33) took Zouks close to victory with a nice 47-run stand, and when the former was shot by Dunk, the goal was in reach.
