Yash Dayal Story in IPL 2024: From Villain to Hero
In the life of every person, there is a time when it does not go well at all and there are also times when people come back to take their revenge the same thing has certainly happened with Yash Dayal. He is a left-arm medium-fast bowler based out of Uttar Pradesh. Yash Dayal came to the limelight when he was struck for five sixes by Rinku Singh in last year’s IPL. Now after RCB showed faith in him he delivered when it was very important.
Bengaluru’s hero, Yash Dayal, helped them qualify for the TATA IPL 2024 playoffs by defending 17 runs in the last over. RCB and CSK squared up at M Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru on Saturday, May 18. Yash Dayal helped RCB make it into the Indian Premier League 2024 playoffs by bowling a fantastic final over to MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja.
In the last over of the game, CSK needed to score 35 to win, but if they had scored more than 18, they would have advanced to the playoffs. But Dayal’s outstanding last over enabled RCB to win by 27 runs and secure their spot in the playoffs as the fourth team.
After losing seven of their first eight games on the road, they became the first team in the tournament’s history to earn a spot in the playoffs by winning the last six matches in a row.

Who is Yash Dayal?
A player from Uttar Pradesh who is a medium-fast bowler, where he made his List-A debut for UP in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. In the same year, he also made his first-class and Twenty20 debut for UP. The rise in his career happened in the 2018-19 year and from there on he was a regular player for UP in the domestic matches.
However last year when Rinku Singh hit five sixes in the last over against Yash Dayal, he received much criticism from everyone and certainly he was released by GT after that season. Things took a turn when RCB showed faith and bought him for 5Cr in the IPL 2024 mini-auction.
Now when the stakes were high and in a performance situation Yash Dayal showed his composure even after getting hit for Six by Dhoni in the very first ball of the final over. He bowled really well where he successfully defended 17 runs for RCB and helped them get into the playoffs of TATA IPL 2024.
