Notably, the MI management had replaced Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya as captain ahead of the IPL 2024 season. Pandya, who was brought in from Gujarat Titans, faced significant opposition from MI’s loyal fanbase, often being booed at the Wankhede Stadium and other venues across the country.
