IPL 2023 Retention: Pat Cummins IPL 2023, Due to a busy schedule, Pat Cummins, the captain of Australia’s Test and One-Day International teams, has chosen to forgo playing in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL). He announced this news yesterday late in the night. He also has congratulated his team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the 2023 IPL, on Twitter.
Cummins tweeted a tweet on Tuesday announcing the choice, and he later confirmed it on his Twitter account. Cummins would be greatly missed by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), who have been in the market and have already completed a number of deals. He was purchased for a staggering INR 7.5 Crores.

Cummins acknowledged that it was a difficult choice. But he decided to use the time between now and the Ashes and the 2023 Cricket World Cup to rest. Cummins thanked the team KKR for being sympathetic to his choice to withdraw from the competition.
