Team India Receives Warm Welcome In Cape Town Ahead Of SA Final Test

The Indian squad landed in Cape Town for the final Test after flying in on a chartered flight, and they were greeted warmly at the hotel. The series is now tied at 1-1 following South Africa setting a historic hunt in the Johannesburg Test, making things more exciting before the 3rd and final Test.

Virat Kohli, India’s regular captain, is also ready to continue for the forthcoming Test after missing the 2nd game due to a back spasm. The musical group would have offered the visitors’ players a lot of happiness as they entered the hotel because they have been behind strict limitations for a long time.

Due to the Covid-19 limitations, the first 2 Tests had to be held behind closed doors, with no supporters’ insight. The practice sessions for the 3rd Test will also start happening in a bio-bubble environment, as the increase in occurrences has already caused widespread alarm in the country.

BCCI uploaded a video on the official Twitter page, that Indian team flying from Johannesburg to Cape Town in a chartered flight. The video also included a lavish greeting for India at the Cape Town hotel, including many musicians playing traditional rhythms.

However, the South African squad has landed in Cape Town, as confirmed by a photo released by their media manager showing the SA arriving in the city. The hosts launched a great recovery in the Johannesburg Test since dropping the first Test in Centurion, courtesy to Dean Elgar’s captain’s performance of 96 in the last innings.

The final Test begins on January 11, and all attention will be on Indian captain Virat Kohli, who is set to return following a break in the 2nd Test. With Mohammed Siraj suffering from a hamstring strain, India may have to make another replacement. Umesh Yadav or Ishant Sharma might be considered.
