T20 WC- We Will Show What Indians Can Do: Harbhajan Singh

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh believes the men’s squad would rebound tougher the next time they face Pakistan. India lost their first-ever game versus Pakistan in a World Cup in their initial encounter at the 2021 T20 World Cup. Pakistan clinched the 13th match (ODIs and T20Is together) in Dubai by a lead of 10 wickets.

India faces a difficult job following their dismal setback. Hopefully, they should be able to advance to the semi-finals if they beat all of their games in this group. They will, meanwhile, face tough competition in their next two matches versus New Zealand & Afghanistan. Scotland & Namibia are also on the list.

Harbhajan Singh voiced his thoughts on his Youtube channel on the setback and the media response. He seems to be pointing out that Pakistani fans are overly excited about the victory. He also mentioned that India had won each of the past 12 matchups, a sequence that began in 1992.

India Will Play And Win If They Face Pakistan Again: Harbhajan Singh

India lost against Pakistan for the first time in World Cups, and even though it was the T20 World Cup, it still happened. There is a lot of chaos on social media as if they have done a huge thing. It might have been for Pakistan but we have defeated them 12 times in the World Cup, we should not forget this. If India and Pakistan meet again, India will play much better and win,” Harbhajan  said on his Youtube channel.

The next crucial task for India will come on October 31 as they face New Zealand, who have a solid group of their own. They also lost their first Super 12 match in Sharjah versus Pakistan and will be hoping to rebound. Harbhajan Singh praised the Indian squad, adding that he is certain that they would demonstrate their abilities.

Important game against New Zealand needs a win. Again, lot of discussion on the India – Pakistan match on Twitter and social media. The match is over, so move on. Moving forward, We will show what Indians can do,” Harbhajan Singh added.
