Stuart Broad set to Miss Pakistan tour: opted for paternity leave

Stuart Broad News: England star right-arm fast-medium bowler Stuart Board will not be included in the squad for the England tour of Pakistan, as Stuart Broad and his wife Mollie are expecting their first child, and that is why Broad opted to take paternity leave.

This is a huge loss for the might England side as they will be traveling to Pakistan after 17 years, where they will be playing seven T20s starting from September and followed by three-match test series in December.

Broad will now have to wait 5 months to return to test cricket as he will be missing the Pakistan tour in winter and that shows that he will only return to cricket only after 5 months.

Broad announced on his social media platforms in early June that Mollie is pregnant and they expecting a new member into their family. He captioned saying “Mollie & I are thrilled to be expecting a baby at the end of the year! Exciting times ahead!”

Now the reports suggest that they are expecting a baby soon, so Broad requested paternity leave. The England Cricket Board have always been professional and they have reportedly told Stuart Broad to take a leave.

Stuart Broad is currently playing against South Africa in a two-match test series where the England side lost their first match in a bad fashion. The England side lost the first test match by 12 runs and an innings to spare against South Africa.

England lost their first test match under the leadership of Ben Stokes and Coach Brendon McCullum, this was the fifth match under their leadership and the England side won all four previous matches under Stokes and McCullum’s guidance.

Broad will try to create an impact in the second test and he would like to go on a break on a positive note.

England will now face South Africa on Thursday and will look to win the second test match and avoid a series whitewash.
