Stuart Christopher John Broad is popularly known as Stuart Broad. He was born in Nottingham, England on 24 June 1986, and is a right-arm medium-fast bowler for England. He has been a constant part of the English squad for the past 15 years. He along with James Anderson was the backbone of the English bowling lineup, especially in Tests. Stuart Broad has also captained England in ODIs and T20Is. Stuart Broad is the second English bowler to take 500 wickets in Tests. His Test figure of 8/15 against Australia was named as the best spell of the decade. Stuart Broad made his domestic debut in List-A cricket in 2004 while playing for Leicestershire. In 2005, Stuart Broad made his first-class debut and took his maiden wicket in the first match.

In 2006, Stuart Broad picked his maiden 5-wicket haul against Surrey and also scored his maiden half century in the same match. In 2006, Stuart Broad played 12 first-class matches for his County Club and picked 44 wickets.
