The outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic has brought the complete world to a standstill. Sports especially cricket has been badly affected by this crisis.

The much-awaited 13th season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) which was scheduled to start from 29th March was pushed to 15th April in the wake of the spread of COVID 19 infection, which gets triggered due to mass gatherings.

Not only this, but all the cricket tournaments and various other leagues which are of national, International and domestic nature were also called off by the cricket association and cricket boards.

BCCI while calling off the IPL 2020 tournament in a statement said, that the health of the players and the stakeholders of the matches were more important than anything else. And that the new dates for the tournament would be announced as soon as the situation prevailing in the country attained normalcy.

With no live cricket being played across the globe, which can be telecasted, the Star Sports Network has decided to broadcast all the favorite matches which have received the highest viewership from the past.

The channel had earlier telecasted the historic semi-final match of 2011 world cup, the channel is all set to telecast the most popular finale match of world cup 2011 which took place between India and Sri Lanka.

Cricket fans will certainly relive the moment of the Indian Cricket team lifting the world cup after 28 years of drought, for the second time amidst the nationwide lockdown.

Cricket fans can watch the match both running in English and Hindi commentary. The match would be telecasted on the Star Sports network-owned channels which include the following:

Star Sports 1, Star Sports 1HD, and Star Sports First will telecast this match today on its ninth anniversary today.

This would also be telecasted on Hotstar, and for the complete match, fans will have to tune in to the above-listed channels at 2 pm in the afternoon.
