Banters during Test matches is common when two big sides play. India and Australia have a good history of banters with Shubhman Gill involved in recent historic Test series win on Australian soil.

India’s win in Gabba will be remembered for a long time. Heroics of Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara will be forever cherished by Indian fans after defeating a strong Aussie side.

Pat Cummins always comes up with the strategy of bowling bouncers. With regards to that Shubman Gill shared a few words with KKR teammate Pat Cummins.

“So, I and Patty were there in KKR. We were teammates there and had a pretty good bond. I remember he gave an interview to the KKR management saying that ‘we’ll have the chin music going on or something like that. And then when I was batting, he was continuously trying to bounce me and I was leaving them,” Gill told The Grade Cricketer Podcast in a conversation.

Post successfully defending all the bouncers of Pat Cummins. Gill gave a cheeky answer with a little humour in the press conference.

Shubman Gill will be an important factor for the upcoming WTC Finals

“After the match, there was a press conference where I said ‘if they have their chin music, we know the moves to dance to that. So the banter was going on and he would go ‘where are your dance moves now?”

While the verdict is not out as to Cummins danced or not but Gill certainly made his bat do the talking and will look to add more to his tally in the coming games.

Shubman Gill will be an important factor for the upcoming WTC Finals. India will be looking out for a good start from Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma. New Zealand winning easily against England in their ground will give kiwis a great boost and they’ll be looking forward to keep the momentum against India.
