Since 2017 Sania Mirza was out of action and made her return in 2020. Nevertheless, all big sporting activities have taken a back seat with the coronavirus pandemic spread all over the globe.

Major Grand Slams such as the French Open and Wimbledon took a major hit. While the organizers moved the French Open back to September, this year’s Wimbledon was scrapped. It is the first time Wimbledon has been postponed since World War II.

Players like Roger Federer to Novak Djokovic have taken their followers to social media to entertain. Federer posted videos of himself training at home.

India And Pakistan Cricket Remains Suspended:

India and Pakistan have been having strained relations for sometime now. This is one of the reasons why, the two countries have not played any bilateral series since 2013. Amidst Coronavirus pandemic, Pakistan’s Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akthar proposed for a three day ODI series between India and Pakistan to raise funds for COVID 19 victims of both the nations. This proposal saw rebuttal from Kapil Dev who said, “India does not need money.”
