Indian Cricketing Legend Sachin Tendulkar has picked two outstanding performers from the Indian squad in ICC World Cup 2019

Despite their semi-final defeat India has showcased a world-class performance in the league games and gave a tough fight to all the sides.

Sachin was a part of commentary panel of the ICC World Cup 2019, and with no hesitation, he has picked Indian Vice-Captain Rohit Sharma and the Jasprit Bumrah has the most impressive players from the side.

“Everyone played their part, to be honest, but if I had to pick then it has to be Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, they were fantastic,” – Sachin told.

Sachin has explained the brilliance of Rohit Sharma’s pure class and his Ton’s.

“Rohit was brilliant in the entire tournament; he also scored a record 5 hundred in the World Cup. The most impressive thing about his batting was that he understood the value of his wicket,” Sachin said.

Rohit Sharma finished the tournament as the highest run-getter of ICC World Cup with 648 runs in his account.

He has praised the yorker machine, Jasprit Bumrah as he is the highest wicket-taker with 18 wickets from the Indian Side.

“Bumrah was terrific throughout the tournament. No one actually could get on top of him,” Sachin added.

“India lost only one match in the group stage, which was great. The openers continued to give good starts and middle-order too chipped in when needed. Whenever provided with a good launchpad the likes of Pandya and Pant pushed India to a good total. Yes, the lower middle did not perform that well but they were well backed up by the bowlers. Our bowling was very good barring one or two games,” Sachin said.

Team India will now travel to West Indies for a series of three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests. The series starts with the T20Is from August 3.
