Sachin Tendulkar Asks a Favour From His Old Cricket Club

In 1992 the former player Sachin Tendulkar was signed by Yorkshire Cricket Club to play in the English country cricket. The 19-year-old then impressed everyone at the club. Twenty-eight years later, Tendulkar is the most famous batsman in the history of the game. Since then, the Mumbaikar has enjoyed a good relationship with the club and its members.

Recently, the Yorkshire Club have released their new range of first-class hats. The club posted a picture of the man wearing the new flat cap. The image was taken in the background of the club’s home ground, Headingley Stadium in Leeds. It invited a series of tweets that would create a conversation between Sachin Tendulkar and Michael.

Former England captain Vaughan has only played for Yorkshire throughout his career. Interestingly, Vaughan made his first-class debut a year after taking the field for the Tendulkar club.

After seeing a picture of the new flat cap on Twitter, Vaughan replied to the Post that he needed one. Tendulkar also responded and praised the original design. He also said he wanted one. “This is fantastic. I want one too! @YorkshireCCC,” the former Indian batsman tweeted in response to Vaughan’s tweet.

Vaughan responded to a tweet by sharing a good relationship with Sachin. In his tweet, he promised to bring one when the IPL finally started. “I will bring one to the #IPL if and when it gets go-ahead this year,” Vaughan wrote in response. Michael Vaughan has visited India every year throughout his career. The former Yorkshire batsman has television contracts with the IPL and travels to different countries.

However, the Yorkshire Cricket Club has taken it upon themselves to solve the problem. The club tweeted that Tendulkar had already sent one for him. The tweet read, “One is on its way to you #OneRose.” 

There are some memories of Sachin Tendulkar being in the club. His performance was inspiring as he performed very well during his stay. Interestingly, in 2002, Tendulkar scored 193 against England in a Test at Yorkshire’s home ground, Headingley.
