Warwickshire scores 293/5 after winning the toss. Krunal Pandya along with Michael Burgess scored a 160-run partnership to help Warwickshire set up a reasonable target to defend against a strong Surrey side.

After an amazing batting performance from Warwickshire, they took control of the bowling department and reduced the opposition to 72 for 4 wickets at the start, but Nico Reifer and Nick Kimber came back stronger and almost crashed the Warwickshire dream of winning the match.

Dunn almost got the job done for surrey, but Liam Norwell in the final over bowled a Yorker forcing the match to tie.

From the Warwickshire side Robert Yates scored 54 runs off 66 balls, second-best scorer Krunal with a crucial 74 runs from 82 balls and Michael Burgess missed out on a century after scoring 93 runs from 78 deliveries.

Warwickshire picked up regular wickets to try and stop Surrey from chasing down the target but Nick Kimber managed to pull off a solid comeback but only managed to tie the game and take home one point.

Krunal Pandya played an important role both with the bat and ball, but this was not enough for Warwickshire to take the Victory along with the two winning points.

Krunal was drawn to the game of cricket after his father along with Hardik Pandya went to a cricket carnival in a stadium at Vadodara. The Pandya brothers started their cricketing career at Kiran More’s academy. Krunal is mostly seen as a limited-over specialist.

Krunal was selected for the Warwickshire side in the early July for the Royal London Cup Championships. Krunal has played 19 T20Is and five ODI’s and has played 76 list-A matches scoring 2,231 runs and also managed to pick 89 wickets.

Paul Farbrace in a media statement quoted that “Krunal is an incredible signing for the club, and I’m delighted to welcome him to Edgbaston. Krunal will bring a wealth of international experience to a team that will be desperate to do well”.
