Riyan Parag Was The Youngest Player Who Scored The Half Century In IPL History:

Amid the Indian Premier League’s extravagance, teenage sensation hogged the headlines after being picked for IPL 2019 by Rajasthan Royals for INR 20 lakhs. By delivering impressive performances, the Guwahati-born player ensured he left his mark in the cash-rich league. Parag scored 160 runs, with a strike rate of 127, in five innings. The young cricketer scored a half-century against Delhi Capitals. So that he became the youngest ever player to score 50 runs in the IPL history.

Parag was enthusiastically expecting to play with players like Steve Smith and Ben Stokes in the Rajasthan Royals squad for the 13th season of the IPL. However, the most awaited IPL tournament postponed, cricketers are staying at home and stay fit in the time of CoronaVirus pandemic.

Parag Has Been Following The Mumbai Franchise Even Before He Started Playing IPL:

A fan even asked Parag to name his favorite team from the IPL. Many expected Parag to select Rajasthan Royals but because of Sachin Tendulkar, the 18-year-old had selected Mumbai Indians. Parag has admitted that he is a big fan of the Mumbai Indians team before he started playing IPL. 

Tendulkar was the key reason behind Mumbai Indians‘ support for Parag. Since he started winning matches for the Indian side, several young cricketers like Parag have followed Tendulkar.

Parag has also answered about his favorite female cricketer apart from his favorite IPL hand. He took the name of Smriti Mandhana who had stolen the limelight after she broke into the side of India Women. She was also a part of India Women’s side that recently suffered a loss against Australia in the Women’s T20 World Cup finals.

Parag also shared his favorite IPL career moment. Parag said that he was his favorite moment in the tournament, along with his knock against KKRs, scoring the first-ball four against Imran Tahir. Parag played a vital role in winning the encounter against a dominant KKR side and helped Rajasthan Royals. Parag played 47 runs scored in 31 balls before being dismissed from a hit-wicket scenario and fell short of a fifty.
