Ranji Trophy is set to stretch into March as per the BCCI’s decision to prepone the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the domestic T20 competition, before the IPL auction which is expected to be in December-January.

As per the official release, the Ranji trophy will begin on December 9, with final starting is on March 13 and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is set to run from November 8 and December 1.

The Duleep Trophy is been on the verge of scrap as the years pass on. So, it has been retained and is given a start in the 2019 season, which is going to run from August 17 to September 8.

The three limited over tournaments – the Vijay Hazare Trophy (50 overs), Deodhar Trophy (50 overs) and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20s) – will follow the Duleep Trophy before the first-class season begins.

The women’s domestic season will begin with the T20 league that is scheduled to start in the month of October.
