The Former Indian Captain Rahul Dravid has been appointed as the head of the National Cricket Academy on Monday. Dravid was supposed to take over as NCA head on July 1 but his job at Indian Cement caused the delay.

Dravid will be in charge of all the cricket activities at the NCA includes mentoring, coaching, training, motivating the players, coaches and support staff at the NCA.

“Mr. Dravid will oversee all cricket-related activities at NCA and will be involved in mentoring, coaching, training and motivating players, coaches and support staff at the NCA,” – BCCI officials said.

It isn’t clear if Dravid will also continue as the coach of the India-A and Under-19 teams, the job title that he held before his appointment at the NCA.

BCCI has also stated that Dravid will work with the head coaches of the Indian men’s and women’s teams as well as the cricket coaches for the development sides.

“Dravid will also work closely with the National men’s and women’s Head coaches and coaches for India Developmental teams including India A, India Under 19, India Under 23 teams, in the identification of key training and development objectives,” – BCCI officials.
